The First Seventh-day Adventist Church of Tulsa will celebrate the Ordinance of Humility (Foot Washing) on December 11, and Holy Communion on December 12, 2020. In the video below, Pastor Samson Sembeba and First Elder James Davison explain how these sacred ordinances will be celebrated with safety precautions due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The video above shows how to open your pre-packaged communion wafer and grape juice cup.
FOOT WASHING (Ordinance of Humility) | Friday, December 11
Foot Washing will be done in your own home with your family members on Friday, December 11.
COMMUNION SERVICE | Sabbath, December 12
The Communion Service will take place in person at the church, or you can participate via live stream at your home if you are unable to attend in person.
Individually wrapped, commercially pre-packaged communion wafers and pre-filled grape juice cups will be used for the service as a safety measure. You can pick up your cup and wafer package at the church on Sabbath, December 12, or at the church on Wednesday, December 9 from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. (Prayer Meeting time) if you cannot attend the service in person on December 12.
If you are unable to pick up your pre-packaged communion wafer and pre-filled grape juice cup at the church, contact a church elder or Pastor Samson Sembeba and arrangements can be made for you to have a pre-packaged wafer and pre-filled juice cup delivered to your home.
